01 / CAPTURE
Keep the part that matters
Capture a region or window, or import an existing screenshot. Crop the image, highlight the detail, and add arrows or numbered steps without opening a design tool.

Smart screenshotsDesigners, developers, and anyone who works with screenshots
Turn screenshots into something useful. SnapBrief brings capture, clean annotations, text extraction, and AI summaries into one small app, so an image can become a clear bug report, a useful note, or feedback someone can act on.
01 / CAPTURE
Capture a region or window, or import an existing screenshot. Crop the image, highlight the detail, and add arrows or numbered steps without opening a design tool.
02 / UNDERSTAND
Copy text from an image, summarize what is visible, or draft a bug report from the screenshot and your notes. Review the result and add the context only you know.
03 / ORGANIZE
Give captures a useful title, group them into collections, and search extracted text and notes. Export a clean image with its explanation when it is time to hand it over.
The work is small until it repeats every day.
A screenshot without an explanation
A red circle helps, but the recipient still has to ask what happened and what needs to change. Writing that explanation takes longer than capturing the image.
Text trapped inside an image
An error message, a useful quote, or a settings value is right there on screen. Retyping it is slow and easy to get wrong.
A folder full of almost identical names
The screenshot you need is somewhere among dozens of dated files. Filenames rarely tell you what you captured or why you kept it.
From a quick capture to a clear handoff.
Grab the window or region you need, or bring in a screenshot you already have. Keep the capture focused on the detail that matters.
Crop distractions, point to the relevant area, and redact information you do not want included in the exported image.
Extract text or ask for a summary, feedback note, or bug report draft. Check the output and add your expected behavior and next steps.
Save the capture in a collection or export the image and notes. Paste the result into your issue tracker, document, or conversation.

The first release is planned for macOS, with region and window capture and image import. Windows support and a browser extension are possible later additions. Join early access and tell us which platform you need.
Alongside capture and markup, SnapBrief is being designed to extract text, suggest titles, summarize visible information, and draft useful notes. Search can use the words inside the image, rather than relying only on its filename.
It can help draft a title and describe the visible problem. You supply reproduction steps, expected behavior, and any missing context. A screenshot alone cannot establish the cause of a bug, and the draft stays editable.
The planned default is local capture and storage. AI analysis will be an explicit action that sends the selected image and context for processing. Redact sensitive details first. There are no automatic public uploads or share links in the planned first release.
Generating a summary, a title, or a report draft counts as an AI request. Capture, manual annotations, and exports are not counted against that allowance. Final limits will be confirmed before launch.
SnapBrief is in development. This is an early-access page, not a download or a working capture tool. Join to share your workflow and hear when the first version is available; no subscription starts today.
These features are planned and are not available yet. Register your interest to help shape the first release.
